Magazine Availability & Ordering:
1. What magazines do you carry?
We sell single issues of 6500+ titles both Domestic and International magazines and books for varied interests. We specialize in Fashion, Trend, Forecast, Design, Knit, Architecture, Art, Craft, Music, Health and many more. Please see our category list on homepage for all titles.
2. How do I find a magazine I am looking for?
You can search for a magazine title on Home page itself in two ways:
a) By clicking one of the Category Tabs
b) By entering at least first three alphabets of the magazine title in the Search window and clicking GO! button
Since we keep adding more and more magazines & books every week / month and occasionally some get withdrawn also, our list may not be up to date. If you do not find the title of your interest listed on our online store, please contact us at info@magazinecafestore.com or by phone (212)-391-2004 or fax (212)-391-2088 and we will get back to you with information.
3. Which issue do I receive? Do I specify the issue I need?
We carry the latest / current issues of magazines. Please note: Covers shown on the website may not be of the current issues. Foreign Titles may be running behind as there is a time lag when they get published abroad and arrive here in USA. We strongly recommend if you need a specific issue please email us at info@magazinecafestore.com along with your Name & Order number. Otherwise, in the absence of any such instructions, we always ship the most current issue available with us at the time of placing the order. No exchange or returns under any circumstances.
4. Do you carry back issues of magazines?
We don't carry back issues in stock. But at times, we may have some immediate previous issues available which have not been sent back to the publisher yet. You can check with us about availability of an immediate previous issue at info@magazinecafestore.com.
5. I bought a magazine before but it is not listed on the website now?
The reason for this could be either it is no longer published or the distributor stopped carrying it. Please check with us about availability.
6. Can I order a title not listed on the website?
There is a good possibility that we get the magazine you are looking for but is not listed on the website as we keep adding more titles. Although we keep updating our website as regularly as possible but we may be behind. Please contact us at info@magazinecafestore.com to check availability on magazine(s) that are not listed on our website.
Even if we do not carry a particular magazine we will try our best to get it for you from our sources.
7. Do you have all the magazines listed on your website in stock?
We do have most of the magazines listed on our website in stock at any given point of time. But sometimes we might be sold out of a popular title and we may or may not be able to re-order it depending upon its frequency / availability with the publisher / distributor. Sometimes, distributors stop carrying some titles for certain reasons or they get discontinued.
8. Does placing an order confirm availability?
Not necessarily. After we receive your order, we physically check the availability of the magazine(s) you ordered. If they are available, we will go ahead and ship them to you after charging your card. If they are not available or out of stock or a part of your order is not available yet, we will get back to you with the status and seek your instructions.
9. What information do I need to give you to execute my order?
To execute an order properly and quickly we need the following information from you:
a) Title and quantity of each magazine(s) you want to order. If you require a specific issue email us at info@magazinecafestore.com along with your name and order number, otherwise by default we will ship the current issue(s) available with us
b) Choose the type of shipping you want us to use - (Standard 5-8 days, Ground 3-6 days, Express 2nd day air)
c) Name and complete street address where the order needs to be shipped (we cannot ship to PO Box)
d) Your contact information (phone or fax or email) - in case we need to get back to you to process your order
e) Payment in advance by credit / debit card, Pay Pal for cost of magazines and shipping - (our site is SSL secure)
f) If there are any special shipping instructions, please email them to us at info@magazinecafestore.com along with your name and order number
10. Do I need to give my contact information?
Yes. It is very important that you provide us with accurate contact information in case we need to get back to you to process your order.
11. Can I change my order or credit card information or shipping address?
Yes, only if your order has not been already processed and shipped you can always change or cancel it by sending us details of your order at info@magazinecafestore.com along with changes you want to make.
12. Can I make advance / monthly reservation of magazine(s) I need on regular basis?
Yes, you can. If you need certain magazine(s) on regular basis and do not want to miss any issue, you can make advance / monthly reservation by e-mailing / faxing your order with other details to us. They can be either shipped to you or you can opt for in store pick up. If you have any further questions on this, please feel free to call or contact us by e-mail.
Order Shipping
13. Do you ship domestic (within continent USA)?
Yes, we do ship domestic within the continent USA via USPS, UPS or similar services. For Alaska, Hawaii and overseas (international), please contact us before ordering at info@magazinecafestore.com and we will get back to you with quotes.
14. What are domestic shipping options? How much time does it take in shipping?
We use USPS, UPS or similar carriers for domestic shipping. Our shipping charges in each option are very competitive and best combination of speed and cost suitable to your need. There are three shipping options available:
Standard shipping: Most economic, usually takes about 5-8 business days in transit*, does not include tracking facility or insurance, USPS Bound Printed Matter Media Mail is used.
Ground Shipping: Good combination of speed and cost, usually takes about 3-6 business days in transit*, you can track your shipment, automatically insured up to $100, UPS ground or similar service is used
Express Shipping: Where speed is essence, UPS 2nd day Saver service is used*. If you need to get your order by Overnite / Next Day Air please contact us by phone or e-mail us for quotes.
* We only use reliable carriers for shipping your orders but delays / damage / wrong delivery may occur occasionally, which are beyond our control and we can not be held responsible for the same or for any refund or claim. In such an eventuality we will provide you with proof of shipping / tracking number and all the assistance we can.
15. Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we do ship overseas. Please contact us at info@magazinecafestore.com with all the information (like magazines needed, your complete street address with zip code and country, where the order needs to be shipped, your contact number or e-mail and mode of shipping you want us to use) and we will get back to you with shipping quotes.
We recommend you to find out about custom requirements, if any, of the country you want the order to be shipped in advance. Once the order is shipped to the address provided by you, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
16. Do you ship magazine(s) to servicemen overseas?
Yes, we can if you would provide APO/FPO address while ordering. We require a consent letter from the cardholder, along with copy of credit card and driving license. Once the order is shipped to the address provided by you no refunds will be issued for returned / undelivered /wrong delivered parcels under any circumstances.
17. Can I send magazine(s) as gift?
Yes, we can ship them as per your instructions and with a message on a gift card. We require a consent letter from the cardholder, along with copy of credit card and driving license. Once the order is shipped to the address provided by you no refunds will be issued for returned / undelivered / wrong delivered parcels under any circumstances.
18. Do you ship magazines to prisons?
Yes, we ship to prisons, but there are some restrictions and rules:
- Adult magazines, magazines depicting violence or gangs are generally not allowed
- Men's magazines, such as Maxim or FHM, are sometimes rejected because of nudity
- The number of magazines allowed at one time is usually limited. It seems two to three is a reasonable number, but check with your instituition.
We advise you check with prison authorities or recipient before ordering. We require a consent letter from the cardholder, along with copy of credit card and driving license. Once the order is shipped to the address provided by you no refunds will be issued for returned / undelivered / wrong delivered parcels under any circumstances.
Payment, Price & Refund policy
16. When does my credit card get charged?
Once the order is placed by you, we physically check and make sure all or part of the magazines you ordered are in stock and prepare your shipping label. Only after that we charge your card.
17. If I do not want to use credit card online, are there other ways I can make payment for my order?
Yes, you can pay via Pay Pal. At the time of checkout you will find the option to pay either by Credit/Debit Card or Pay Pal.
18. Is the cover price of the magazine on the website accurate? What price I will be charged?
Not always, as the cover price of magazines may be changed by publishers/distributor from time to time. We update our website periodically but there is a possibility that change in price, especially in case of international magazines, may reflect after sometime. These changes are not frequent, but do occur occasionally. We get to know of the new cover price only once we receive the magazine.
We charge cover prices recommended by publishers / distributors.
19. Can I change my order or credit card information or shipping address?
Yes, only if your order has not been already processed and shipped you can always change or cancel it by sending us details of your order at info@magazinecafestore.com along with changes you want to make.
20. Do you accept returns?
We do not accept returns under any circumstances and all sales are final, unless by mistake wrong magazine has been sent to you; in such cases we will replace it with the correct one or refund you the charges.
21. What if order shipped lost or damaged or delayed or wrongly delivered?
It is very rare that such a thing will happen but never-the-less it can happen. We assume no responsibility for any damage / delays / wrong delivery by carrier once an order parcel is handed over to them with a proper shipping label. All UPS shipments are automatically insured up to $100 without any extra cost to you. We can provide you with shipping details and tracking numbers to follow up the shipment and claims, if any, from your end.
In the case of putting wrong label or address on the parcel our responsibility will only be limited to replacement of magazine(s) or refund to the extent of the total amount charged to you.
Subscription & Corporate Account Program
22. Do you have a Subscription program?
Yes, we do have a unique Half Yearly and Yearly subscription program. Please click the Subscription link to go to the list of magazines being offered for subscriptions.
23. What are the terms & conditions for subscriptions?
· The customer has choice to take subscription(s) for either 6 months or 12 months
· All subscription(s) are payable in full, in advance and are nonrefundable.
· Delivery/shipping will start as soon as the first available issue(s) will become available thereafter.
· Prices listed are subject to change and include shipping cost within USA by USPS /UPS ground or similar services. Any express / international shipping will be at extra cost.
· The Customer agrees to pay any price escalation made by publisher / whole seller / distributor during the period of subscription(s) already paid for and allow us to additionally charge their account for any such price increase.
· We shall not be liable to the customer or any other party for any direct, indirect, consequential loss of business /sales /profit /goodwill etc., on account of any delay / non receipt / discontinuation of subscribed magazine(s) from its publisher / whole seller / distributor or for losing / wrong delivery in transit /shipping by carrier company or due to any act of omission or commission by us / our employees /shipping company.
· For any fault of ours, our liability will only be limited to refunding actual cost of issue(s) missed /lost by the customer.
· No other discount will apply to Subscription program, as it is already discounted
· We reserve the right to make changes in the terms and conditions of this subscription program any time at our discretion.
24. Do you have any program for Corporate customers?
